Welcome to OSVH, the underwater sports club of Hilversum. We are a friendly, non-profit club run by volunteers since 1975. We dive, snorkel and play underwater hockey and underwater rugby. Everyone aged 14 and up is welcome, whatever your background or experience.
When and where
Every Wednesday from 20:00 to 21:30 at swimming pool De Lieberg, Jan van der Heijdenstraat 170, Hilversum. Also during school holidays. We start with half an hour of fitness training, then split up into underwater hockey, underwater rugby and diving or snorkelling. Afterwards we usually have a drink at the pool.

What we do
- Underwater rugby: a fast 3D team sport played at the bottom of the deep pool, with a ball filled with salt water.
- Underwater hockey: push a puck across the pool floor with a small stick, holding your breath.
- Diving: NOB diving courses from 1* (Open Water) and club dives in Dutch lakes and in Zeeland. Certified with PADI, SSI or another organisation? You can join our dives within your own certification.
- Snorkelling and fitness: good for your fitness and a great start.
The NOB diving theory is also available in English as an online book. So the diving course is open to you too. Ask us about the details.
Scuba diving members need a medical dive check by a doctor within four weeks of signing up. For snorkelling, fitness, hockey and rugby, the yearly online NOB health self-check is enough.
Membership
Membership runs per calendar year and includes membership of the Dutch Underwater Sports Federation (NOB) and its insurance. There is a one-time deposit, which you get back when you cancel correctly. If you join during the year, you only pay for the remaining months. Current fees are listed on Info nieuwe leden (in Dutch), or just ask us.
